This Page Cannot Be Displayed

all the time now I'm getting "this page cannot be displayed / fix connection problems / close the troubleshooter" popping up (windows ie), despite a new router. Help and simplistic advice please.

Try another browser first. Anything is better than Internet Explorer. (Chrome, Firefox, Vivaldi, Avant, etc etc. You name it and it's sure to be better than ruddy Internet Explorer). If the problems disappear you'll know that it was a fault with Internet Explorer. (You could then seek advice here on fixing Internet Explorer or, better still, abandon it altogether).
If the problem persists let us know and we'll examine the next stage for you. (It would then help us to know whether your computer is connected to your router via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly. It would also help to know which version of Windows you're using).

Here's how to reset the TCP/IP stack:
Click Start
Type 'cmd' (without the quote marks) in the box
'cmd' will appear above it (under 'Programs'). Right-click on it and select 'Run as Administrator'
When a new box opens, type the following:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
Press Enter
You'll see a message telling you that you need to restart your computer to complete the action. Do so.
