Products To Buy And Sell On Ebay/amazon
14 Answers
I'm thinking about buying and selling some items,to generate a bit of extra income. I'm not sure what to buy to start testing the water. About £100 or so to start with is my budget.. Does anyone have any suggestions what to buy to make a small profit each month?. Even better if you do this yourself. Any tips greatly appreciated.

There is also some software I have which tells you how much a particular ebay seller making each month.
I have seen one recently that has sales of £144,000 on the most stupid/clever ideas.
It would be a bit dumb of me to hand this information over because it would knock my efforts.

All trade is based on supply and demand.
The best thing you can do is have a good look around e-Bay and see what is selling, and then explore the profit margins involved.
The bigger profit margin, the better, obviously.
For your requirements, you want something that ticks over sales wise, and is maybe not bulky, because then you get into storage issues.
Have a look and see what takes your fancy.

Ladies skirts particularly Per Una (M&S) brand. For some unknown reason fashion shops hardly sell any skirts now (fashion dictates I suppose) but I for one like wearing long skirts especially with boots, not jeans and trousers on nights out. Per Una skirts fetch a lot of money on Ebay so have a browse in charity shops!
Remember postage costs are pretty high now- even the smallest parcel costs £2.85 second class via Royal Mail- and you may have to bear the cost of returns too. I have sold quite a lot of stuff on ebay and Amazon and whilst most buyers have been fine there have been some who have demanded a refund hoping sellers will let them keep the 'faulty/not as described' goods and refund them some or all of the sale price & postage rather than also having to pay for return postage.
The best things to sell may be small items that are classed as letter post so the cost is only around £1.10.
