/// If Madonna and the motley crew she has taken it upon herself to represent really want to do something for the women of the world they’d be more gainfully employed in championing those women by protesting against the very real and enduring misogyny that is endemic within Islam. ///
Totally agree, preferably on a soap box in Saudi Arabia, whilst thinking about blowing up some mosques.

"I have a tale to tell
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well
I was not ready for the fall
Too blind to see the writing on the wall
A man can tell a thousand lies
I've learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, 'till then
It will burn inside of me"
Madonna - 'Live to Tell'.

Answerprancer - by definition, in order to possess a right-wing point of view, by definition, your outlook has to ne narrow to the point where you are incapable of accepting anyone's view other than your own.
This chimes with the right-wing ethos that trying to help others is simply weakness, and trying to accept that other people live differently is not only acceptable, it is fundamentally desirable, is tantamount to encouraging Sodom and Gomorrah.

While Madonna’s rant may have felt good to her personally and momentarily excited her cohorts in the Democratic base, it was terribly counter-productive regarding a strategic resistance to Trump. Madonna and Meryl Streep are both so deeply entrenched in their own epistemic echo chamber that they are unable to grasp how their harangues are heard by the great, unwashed masses in Middle America. To swing-voting ‘regular’ Americans, these anti-Trump speeches are not heard as heartfelt emotional rebuttals against President Trump, rather they are heard as the self-serving tantrums of spoiled entertainers.

I very much doubt that 'the great unwashed masses in Middle America' (no cultural stereotyping there then) would give a moment's thought to what Meryl Streep or Madonna think, and if they did, they would not be analysing such a ludicrously over-wrought summary of the situation - presuming of course that they could be bothered to translate it into plain English!
// ... epistemic echo chamber ... // Seriously???
LOL!!!!!
