when you want to go back to insuring your own private car you will need to get a letter from your company on letterheaded paper saying you have had sole use of their car from (date) to (date) and no claims were made & no accidents recorded. some companies will not let you add this to your private ncb & just use the company car experience as ncb as they have to take the most recent. others will allow the full entitlement- it depends on the company (ones that will are norwich union & groupama & royal sun alliance).

also- if you dont have company car for that long you may not need to bother as most companies exept ncb that has not been used for upto 2 yrs & some upto 3 yrs.

Having had company cars for 20+accident free years had same probs. Got best deal from SAGA as over 50. A letter on headed note paper from company gave me best quote including full no claims entitlement.
