Khandro - not strange at all, the orders were different hence the reaction.
Obama: imposes new security checks on Iraqi refugees in response to a specific flaw in the security screening for people from that country, which slows down the admission rate of Iraqi refugees for six months but does not eliminate it.
Trump: Bans all refugees, from every country on Earth, for four months, with no evidence of a specific flaw in the refugee screening process, at a time when there are at least 60 percent more refugees worldwide than there were in 2011.

Disingenuous comparison. Obama did not ban travel of all non-diplomatic passport types. His administration reviewed vetting procedures for Iraq to bring them flush with other countries. Obama did not ban refugees (just increased the vetting, like everyone kept complaining he wasn't) and was in response to a specific threat - the arrest of two Iraqi refugees in Kentucky in 2011.

The list of countries that Trump supposedly took from Obama's administration refers to a list of countries that Obama amended the Visa Waiver Program with in December. Hardly comparable to a blanket ban on all travellers from those countries.

So, no, Obama did nothing on remotely the same level or with the same incompetence or hamfistedness as Mr. Trump. But don't let facts get in the way of your hysteria about liberals.

Obama ended his presidency on the highest ratings recorded for an outgoing Prez - so it is NOT surprising that there was no anger ( er or only anger at his going )

As for firing the attorney general - we have no difficulty in insisting the attorney general obeys the law - in interview Yates when asked by Sessions ( now to be attorney general) replied "er well I might yeah really, I'll see when it happens"

Lying attorney generals in the UK well we never got the bottom of Goldsmith's opinion on the Iraq War - " er no not really I mean yes really "

Over Peter Wright and Spycatcher - the AG threatened to send in the police to No 10 when he heard crown counsel were lying in court under oath in Oz ( economical with the truth ...). No one bleated " O yeah they can you know if they are told to..."

In the Clay Cross dispute 1973 - Harold wilson said he would indemnify the Clay Cross Councillors if they defied the Con govt and his shadow AG squawked loudly [ that this was unlawful ]. When WIlson WON the election he set about legislating the indemnity and the AG upped and resigned ( not keeping quiet over it either ) Sam Silkin
