pc problem

my pc last night started to whirr and clank, it said run time error then switched itself off and will not turn back on, it is 2 to 3 years old can anyone help? many thanks

it sounds like your hard disk has died but without actually seeing/hearing it then it's a bit hard to tell for sure.

When you turn the PC on does anything appear on the screen ? or is it just blank ?

you say it wont turn back on--is it completely dead?--ie no power at all?--if so then sounds like your power pack has given up--post back with more information--cheers
