Bt Phishing Email? Help Please.

Just had 2 emails from what looked like BT.
One to tell me my" PAYMENT HAS BEEN DECLINED" #AND A NUMBER..that wouldn't be true with much more than enough to pay it..plus its not due til 15th.
I usually get an email telling me "YOUR BILL IS READY TO SEE ONLINE" which is the second email...that would be correct as expected.
Having looked on the BT web site its advising to forward the mail to [email protected]. I did this but it was declined?
Any ideas what to do now please.

Just check your account by logging on a s normal (not via a link). Reporting doesn't make much difference- they are very very unlikely to be able to anything- and often the attachments mean they get rejected as yours did
