Statutory Demand - How can I serve one?
An 'employer' (I am self employed but retained) has reneged on deal, is in breach of contract & terms and is again late paying.
Can I raise Stat Demand myself, the amount is arguably 8255 but unarguable 5255 and can I serve it just by handing to him at meeting I can/could convene for Thursday.
I want to use Stat Demand to speed things, payment that is, up, county court will take weeks if not months and the defaulter would not want a petition being raised against him so will either pay up of defend within the 21 days.
Yes I know some may argue 'sledge hammer to crack a nut' but this guy is causing me severe financial problems that would get worse if summons route were followed.
Any tips of what to say, or not say in Stat Demand also appreceiated.
Your help most welcome, please.
