How Do I Wire A Replacement Slave Phone Socket
10 Answers
Hi,
A wire broke in a slave phone socket but rewiring a new one with the same configuration as the old isn't working. That was red in 2, blue in 3, green in 4 & white in 5. Have found a couple of others via Google, eg. 2 white, 3 blue, 4 green & 5 red. None are working. The master socket is enclosed so can't see those wires (if relevant).
Any suggestions ? Cheers

You only need the 2 line wires on terminals 2 & 5 if you are using microfilters, if you are not then you need a bell wire on terminal 3 as well. These wires should be connected to the same terminals in all sockets and the line wires on 2 & 5 need to be a twisted pair.
