I use a BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker telephone at home, and have the and have the following question.
Is it possible to retain my list of allowable contacts within the phone, when I wish to begin setting up the telephone from scratch ?. When I receive a call from someone who is not on my allowable list, the caller is hard to hear, the response being very faint. When speaking to such a caller, after I have pressed the appropriate key to accept the call, the reply volume is normal and quite clear. The caller's sound volume is hard to understand apart from maybe two or three words. I am hoping that by resetting the system, I might find that there is a facility within the system that will allow me to increase the volume and thereby resolve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they are asked to identify themselves before they are put through, it is that volume that I am talking about. Once I have pressed the required number to accept their call, they then speak to me at the normal volume.
