I've Lost My Mobile Phone Contacts

I was entering my crosswords with my Samsung (I think it's a 6) Smartphone. Each one failed and have a ! Next to it. I thought I would delete my history of texts sent to the number and try again. All my Contacts have now disappeared and when I put in the entry number in manually it still fails to send. I do these Crosswords very week and nothing has ever happened before.

if your contacts are on the sim they can be recovered..take the phone into your providers shop, they plug it in and do all manner of magic..had to go to EE to have mine done recently

Thanks MM. However I bought my phone online. I am on '3' as PAYG. There's a 3 shop in my town but will they do it?
