That's the "worst case scenario" according to RyanAir's Michael O'Leary ("one of Britain's best friends" - his own description).

Is there a question here? Yes, what is the technical description of madness?

I apologise (to myself mainly) for the flippant selection of category. It is a serious question. Trade between the UK and Europe will continue of necessity (although not on the same terms) after exit. And leaving the Customs Union should be an obvious advantage in some respects to UK consumers. Given the tariff barriers (100% in some cases) poorer consumers may do rather better, even though BMW buyers may be somewhat poorer for the new deal.

Are then AB (REAL or at least well-informed)experts on the terms of trade, the barriers to imports created by the CU who could comment expertly?
Why apologise? The whole of the EU belongs in the jokes section (until such time as we have a tragedy section).

Don't mind rhetoric, or tendentious arguments (did Devil's advocacy in the sixth form debating society when I was sixteen). But the incessant propaganda against Brexit and Trump is tedious.
" But the incessant propaganda against Brexit and Trump is tedious."

Tell that to the usual suspects.
A year's propaganda against Brexit is boring.

A month's propaganda against Trump is boring.

But of course 10-20 years propaganda against the EU is fine.

And 5 years propaganda against Milliband was fine.

Double standards here methinks.
