Did Labour Deliver Brexit?

Saint Tony this morning "The debilitation of Labour is the facilitator of Brexit" - Powerful stuff. I for one am grateful to Jezza and the labour party for their part in wresting us from the EUSSR.

The man who single handed brought about the demise of the Labour party is now saying that the weakened position of Labour is responsible.. Haha not him, it is everybody else. Devilish devious fiend that he is.
The facilitator of Bretix was the EU itself.
If it had been fit for purpose we would not be in the position of leaving.
If it had been capable of change and improvement then it would have started to happen when DC went to negotiate.
It is only now that we have voted to leave and are on the way (Lords not withstanding) to actually fulfilling the democratic wishes of the UK population (that bothered to vote, no second chance now dears) are they even hinting that something might not be .... as perfect as they think.
So no. It wasn't Tony Blair or Jeremy Corbyn or any other self important *** that wants to wade in. It was the EUs fault and no one else's.

He's not wrong though? Labour certainly had a part in it - and while you can blame him partly for the demise of the party, it's more the absence of him which has caused it.
Blair's Labour very much moved from union rights towards individual rights, in line with the EU at the time. It seemed fairly sensible - after all, globalisation means individuals have direct relationships with international giants, and should probably be afforded protections on that level.
The problem comes when he leaves, and no one can decide what flavour of labour they should be - and instead retreat to the champagne bars of the capital.
They've been very poor in opposition since.
Also, we think Corbyn voted out, don't we?

Cassa's probably made a good case from the viewpoint of someone who wanted out - those (like me) who wanted in would want to argue a point or two, but I think you've pretty much nailed it.
Labour (in the guise of the leadership team) went AWOL during the debate - so I'm not sure they helped deliver it so much as have no impact what-so-ever. If Corbyn had waded in he may have dragged a few fanboys with him, but I think his stock is so low with the average person on the street that he and his disciples wouldn't have had a noticable impact either way.

I cannot believe I am hearing this rubbish. All along the Brexit route Labour were calling for us to stay with the EU. Quite a lot of Labour voters recognised the need to exit the EU & return to our British way of life with rule from Westminster & a close watch on our borders. Labour leaders however were completely ignoring the majority will of the working classes. My honest opinion is now, that Labour have lost their way & have had it as far as political parties go.
