This week on ITV news we have seen numerous reports on India's Mica mines along with scenes of child labour.
One has to ask, what can the ordinary TV viewer do to prevent this exploitation of children and even if some kind of action where to be taken, would it be robbing those less fortunate than us of a living?

One also has to be careful when interfering in other countries, especially third world or developing ones. Often by boycotting child labour places it puts the child out of work and the family closer to starvation, remember these countries do not have a benefits system like ours. No work, no food.

//children should be in school, and not working// I couldnt agree more in an ideal world. But in a country of in excess of 1.2 Bn (as opposed t 64 m UK) we cannot think that things working here will work there.
Just because they have a Nuclear and Space program does not mean that all would be hunky dory if they spent the money on education of the lower casts.
