I have read the previous answers to this question but I still don't understand. I have many of the answers but have no idea where to put them! Why are there 2 clues not lettered? How do I start?

The two clues ending in Q are at 2d and 10a. Two clues beginning with H are at 24a/d.

24a/d are 4+4, but the clue beginning with "H" is 6 letters. Sorry but my poor brain doesn't quite follow.

porilo - as above, the answers @ 24a & 24d both begin with 'H' - as does the grid entry at 12a, which is the answer to one of the 'I' clues.

Thank you. Very helpful. I'm getting confused with beginning letters and last letters. This is the first time I've come across an alphabetical puzzle based on last letters.
