Having reached the outside world ( we are VERY rural), and braved an enormous Tesco;we came away clutching a tin of Tesco own brand mushy peas(20p a tin)I will let you know how we get on with them, and what they are like.Stand by for developments!
Try the tinned Bachelor ones and don't over heat them, they're lovely but if you overheat them they just go to mush..I know they're called mushy peas but they're better if they're fairly solid.
Well No Mercy, here you go, but you may not like it!
We had the mushy peas (Tesco Everyday Value Mushy Peas 20p)and I (heresy) didn't like them at all.My partner (who is Scottish, quite liked them).Could it be that we should be buying better quality peas,or maybe I am living in the past and remembering them in a state of nostalgia?

I have a facebook friend who is a major pea farmer in Canada. He put up a picture of him harvesting his peas and I did ask him if they were mushy or marrowfat but he didn't seem terribly impressed.
For ethandron(and everyone),
We microwaved the peas,is that a cardinal sin?
