New Passport Shows Incorrect Dob?

My wife has just got her new passport. However when she checked it they have got her date of birth wrong! There is no time to change it as she fly's out to Spain in 4 days time.
The DOB say 22nd November instead of 24th the year is correct.
Now she is panicking that she will not be allowed to fly or leave the country. I have told her to just go with it as it is and if asked say her DOB is the 22nd. Any advice?

She's lucky it came in time I suppose if it was done at the last minute. Was it right on her previous one? I'm surprised if they used a different date this time

I'd go with it, should be no problem and once she gets home, get it fixed, just say she noticed it while she was away

have the various authorities got any way of knowing it's wrong? Does it clash with any other information they have, such as her original booking form?

She should be okay by taking your advice.

I can't see why anyone would know it's the wrong DOB. Has she added her API details yet? If not, then if it were me, I would use the (incorrect) one that is written in the passport.

It is correct on her previous one but that is over 20 years out of date.
I can't see how anyone has any way of knowing it is wrong.
We applied over 9 weeks ago but there have been hold ups. At first we were told that as she had a previous passport she only needed to apply for a renewal. Then they said that as the old passport was one of the old blue ones she had to apply as if it was her first passport not a renewal, then they rejected the photos and we had to send new ones. It has been a nightmare from start to finish!

Sam1960 your link says as I expected , that the passport has to be returned to the office that issued it (liverpool in this case as it was an online application) and cancelled before a new one can be issued.
No time for that and I'm not driving a 600 mile round trip to visit them.
She has given the airline (easyjet) the details as on the new passport and is just going to go as if it is all OK. I can't see what else we can do , if she put her correct DOB and they checked against the passport it is going to cause problems.

It shouldn't be a problem. The only way it would be a problem is if a visa or esta was involved (when going to the US or somewhere)

Thanks people she is going to just go ahead as if it is all OK and get a replacement when she comes back. It's only a 3 day trip to Spain for a 'hen weekend'!

well if the mistake is theres - and you didnt write it out wrong - the passport office migh issue and emergency document to confirm their error making it still valid, but i dont know if they do that, just a htoghuh
