Most are written down 'unencrypted' (because even if anyone got hold of my folder they wouldn't be able to do anything harmful using those passwords) but a few are written as, for example, "first cat/Dave's birthdate (6 digits)/Sally's birth month (word)", which isn't likely to mean much to anyone other than me.
hc 4361 Not all sites accept the same password format, though. Some demand at least one capital, some a mix of numbers and letters, some won't accept punctuation marks and most have a minimum and maximum number of characters.
They really, really annoy me when coming up with one acceptable let alone having to remember them ones... paranoid gits!

Pretty good with the ones I use regularly, have a few written in a book too - don't use a device when out and about so that's no bother.
Very sensitive ones are contained within a story - so far so good.
My bugbear is when they decide as you haven't visited for a while they'll ask you a bunch of security question - you last answered those five years ago!!
