The last vacuum cleaner I bought wasn't as high powered as my last one (something to do with EU rules I think), and it doesn't seen to be picking up dust from between the floor planks as well as the old one. I'm thinking of getting a little "dust buster" type thing. Are they any good?

Hi HS, I doubt it would be powerful enough, also not great for your back x

Not for that job. I’d go for the best rated vac for pick up that you can afford.
^ I agree. Or, buy a 'soft' bristled indoor brush and brush them out, collect and then use your normal vac to suck up x
You need someone to precede you with a large hammer, striking the floor just ahead of the cleaner, which will trap the dust while it is airborne...or treat your cleaner to a dose of Holts "Suck" available from all good garages and normally used to treat ailing carburettors...
