"Liberal Elite"....
Majority of newspapers in the UK are right-wing or centre-right
Netherlands, Spain, Germany, UK, Poland, Russia, USA (off the top of my head) - all governed by centre-right, right-wing or far-right parties. Several of these (Russia, UK) have little or no realistic opposition.
Vast majority of news networks are centre-right at least, though there are notably exceptions which the right constantly whinge about.
Left-wing government in France is essentially lame-duck. Left wing president in Austria is basically irrelevant. The only left-wing government anywhere in the world that has any serious influence I can think of is Canada. And that's just ever-so-slightly centre-left. Gasp.
But yes, blame the world's problems on "Liberal elites" because of CNN and The New Yorker and The Guardian and Hollywood. Clearly these are the axes upon which the world turns.
