well there is this bizarre pair going around where she says

he raped me ! ........................ and he says
yes I did I am so sorry .....

so long ago that the statue of limitations is involved ( = no case) whereas I thought it didnt apply which is why we are having so much fun with historical abuse cases nowadays ....

A step too far, as the beeb have admitted. There seem to have been multiple errors in the call handling process as well as a monstrous mess up by the show’s presenter who seems to have exercised poor judgement although he might have been entitled to say that he placed reliance on the call handling process.
I don’t think its comparable to certain disparaging remarks regarding public breast feeding made on air by another Beeb presenter, as the article suggests.
