Tora, of course England deserved to lift the trophy. But for that result in Cardiff though when England edged the only away win of the tournament (if you discount Italy, as I think one must) then it would have been us :-) If we'd lost it would have been a Triple Crown whitewash for the first time in 19 years, and that would not have done.
England won technically but had no right to lift the trophy, I'd have kicked it round the park and left it for Ireland. Back to regular disappointment i guess.
When you are top, a clear five points ahead of your nearest rival, then I think that you have a right to lift the trophy. But yes, without giving anything away to those planning to catch up today, it was a regular disappointment.
