Vista 32 Bit
3 Answers
Iam currently using this and I know support is ending IE9 in April, and Mozilla, I think July/August. Is there any way of upgrading to a 64 bit on my current machine so that I dont have to go through the process of buying a new machine? I am happy with my laptop, its just nothing works, Silverlight on one, then adobe flash on the other. I do have my Norton security so hopefully I'm ok with that. Many thanks anyone!

Further, even if your CPU does support 64-bit software, I know of no way of upgrading a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit one without doing a fresh installation of Windows.
It's probably time to look for a refurbished Windows 7 or 10 machine. (I've omitted Windows 8 because it was never great. I've suggested a refurbished machine as you're obviously not too keen on spending a lot of money).
For Windows 7 I'd suggest something like this for economy:

or this for a higher spec:

For Windows 10 this might be a good choice:

Moving from a 32 bit operating system to a 64 bit operating system is nothing to do with support.
Vista goes out of support soon, and that applies to all versions of Vista, whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit.
Anyway if you wanted to move from the 32 bit version of windows vista to the 64 bit version of windows vista you would still need to do a full reinstall of windows.
