My daughter had her facebook account hacked by a "friend", she changed the password and won't give us the correct new password so we are locked out of this account. We cannot change the password through her email either as this girl has also hacked that and changed the password on that so we cannot access emails. Whenever I try to change the password on the email it just keeps saying "windows live id is incorrect". I have given up trying to get into it now but we want to delete it as this girl also added some strange friends to my daughters facebook of whom we don't know and this means these new "friends" can now view all of her pictures and she has no control of what goes on on there. I simply need a quick and easy way to delete the account. Can i as her mother (i have a facebook account of my own) somehow delete the account through mine? Please help, this is driving us mad!
I've just tried it, if you click on forgotton password, identify the account by putting the email address used to login, and then click on "no longer have access to the email address" where you can add another email address, maybe put yours for the time being?
As 2shortplanks has implied. if this person has hacked both the e-mail account and the facebook account, that's a criminal offence, and should be reported to the police. There's no way that you can deal with it through your own account.
On Windows Live there is provision fro reporting a hacked account.
