But back to AOG's question. It would appear that the BBC are trying to tick another diversity box with Eastenders:

The question should be asked why do we need more elderly people on television? Surely with their over-representation on Countryfile, The Real Marigold Hotel, New Tricks, Antiques Roadshow, Marple and whatever cobblers David Jason is foisting on the nation, we have enough elderly people on our screens?

Not only the BBC, it seems that ITV are catching this diversity bug.

Last nights Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway rubbish, they picked three different unsuspecting viewing families, and surprise, surprise, one was white, one was black and one was Asian (not Chinese of course).

Blimey SP, Eastenders is diverse enough already, and some of them have got to become old as we all do, or is it just white old persons you are moaning about?

Just as a side question, I wonder if diversity is practised in places such as the Caribbean, India or Africa?
