Just cooked a ribeye off, 4 turns of the steak inc the flip overs, 2 minutes each turn for rare.

Then to rest, slice and put it in a marinade of e.v. oil, basalmic, diced lemon rind and fresh chilli and some roasted cherry toms - I threw in some red onion and thyme as they were in my fridge.

Give it 4 mins a side and serve....and its delish.

Any other ideas?

was the marinade warm?
Question Author
no, Tilly, room temp and then 4 minutes a side in it as the steak rested.
Thank you. I must try that.

I used M&S's 450g ribeye and that was fine...really tasty, add some chopped garlic for a variation, good green salad perhaps, though I steamed off some chicory, French green beans, baby sprouts, pak choy, mangetout and extra-fine asparagus tonight and served as a 'veg mix'....
I'd have it with chips, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. :-)

Frites or Tusacany chips?
Question Author
yeah gads, Tuscany chips....
Just chips. Not French or Italian. Just chips. English chips. :-)
