I think that Amanda Barrie's character(she is 81) was meant to look as if she was demented,and she did that well,and we don't know how her character may develop (that is if she is in more episodes)As for Uri Geller,he probably needs all the money he can get,since was discredited by psychic "de~bunker" James Randi, in 1989.He is constantly suing people,all to no avail.So may need money to pay all those lawyers.

I think it's rubbish too and I stopped watching it ages ago. Mind you, I thought Car Share with Peter Kaye was cringingly bad, but it seems plenty of people think it's great. Clearly, humour is subjective.
