I think I have finished but there are two clues I don't quite get and I'd be grateful for explanations.
Canadian bowler in local match. I think the answer is Derby which meets the local match. But what is the Canadian connection please?
Collection of stories to study lawman finding killer. Anaconda fits. I see the con and da bits but not the beginning.

Btw this might be the last time I'll be on for a few weeks. Until the end of the exam season in fact. SWMBO has decreed that on my " day off" during the season I must choose between the crossword and Jamie because I must buckle down. I suppose she is right. And I am afraid it will be Jamie much as I love my crossword time. It's OK this weekend because he is away with his folks. And it may be that there will be some occasion during the season when he will be away. We'll see.
