I'm sure this question must have been asked many times in the past but can't find any earlier references.
My car will not be used for eight weeks this summer. Should I disconnect the battery or is it safe to leave as it is? I have heard it is best to leave the car in neutral (I am in the habit of leaving the car in first gear when parking) also, not to apply the parking brake as the brake pads may stick, leave a brick behind the rear wheel instead.
Any other useful suggestions when a car is not in use for this length of time?
my car was left for 3 months but i was told not 2 disconect the battery somthing 2 do with the comuter on it is is a vectraso i think it all depens on the car.leve the handbreak off not in gear and thats it
cars will be fine if left for a long time just leave the handbrake off and leave it in gear!! all new cars lie in a compound for up to a few months before gettin delivered or shipped to dealers to sell
