Things Happen!

Managed to get Internet at marina tonight.
Weather glorious down here in Brittany, as usual things happen to us.
This morning I went to toilet block at boat yard to shower. Went to the loo first, whilst I was sat down the light went out and I was in pitch black. Hadn't a clue where anything was. Started waving my arms about to try and trigger the light, eventually it came back on.
Later OH was filling the water tank with the hose pipe, when he had finished he turned the tap off as he thought OH NO HE DIDNT. He turned it the wrong way to full strength and the force of the water caused the hose pipe to jump out of the hole and wave about spraying water everywhere, in the cockpit, all over me and over the drying towels. I tried to get hold of the hose pipe that was writhing all over the place, got it, had to mop the boat out and change my clothes.
Later this e ending we decided to go for a walk round the town, got smartened up a bit. Walked along the jetty to the gate into town and it was padlocked. He did suggest I climb over the six foot gate, I declined and we went back to the boat. Now this is day one, what else is in store, I dread to think.

How about pole vaulting it, got to be some barge poles lying about.

I can just see me pole vaulting!
I'm not steady on my legs and use a walking stick most of the time, well we both do actually.
Don't know why the gate was locked. I hope it isn't in the morning as it looks a nice town. We are at a place called Redon.

Redon must be like Wales, closed on Sundays, Caran.

tonyav most of France closes on Sundays. We have been caught out before planning to eat out and finding we can't. All shops and supermarkets closed too.

Maybe it's something to do with the election that's going on today !.

I did say to OH if we go to a supermarket and I shout out Brexit what reaction would I get? He wasn't amused?
