Unfortunately not - but best of luck with your efforts. Mrs Scuba, scubasprog and myself have recently moved house and have found the estate agents involved to be complete and utter lazy lying scumbags. We did 90% of the work while they sat on their backsides doing b****r all. And I end up paying them a fee the thick end of 6,000. Utter utter bastards. Should I come to sell at some point in the future there is absolutely no way on earth I am going to use these worthless waste of space clagnuts. I'd rather pull my toenails out with a pair of pliars than line their pockets again. Sorry, I know it doesn't answer your question, but it feels good to have a rant. Best of luck.
Try thelittlehousecompany.co.uk. I haven't used them as a buyer or seller (yet), so I can't recommend one way or another, but it seems to be one of the more popular diy home selling/buying sites.
But you will have paid very much more than 6000 in Stamp Duty, scubaboy. Did you find that more satisfactory?
You are quite correct Maude, the Stamp Duty was painful. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the stamp duty. However, if I am paying a fee to a, ahem, professional, I expect a certain level of service. I do not expect to do their job for them and I do not expect to be lied to.
ebay? hmm dunno how much you would charge for postage and packing though ;-)
Lied to, scubaboy? Are you able to skeleton?
Apologies, scu, skeleton around here is slang for set out the bare bones of the matter.
http://www.flats-r-us.co.uk It's for flats, but you could give it a go - maybe someone selling a flat on there is looking for a house
i don't think i would trust a company called flats-r-us any more than i would consider availing myself of the services of dial-a-vasectomy or brainsurgerywhileuwait.com
