The C Word ...

Sat amongst fellow male workers, me the female & three males, them watching football in our break. The C word was said a number of times, till I couldn't not react. I think they thought it odd for reacting, don't you find it a vulgar word?

I think you will find that a lot of Welsh folk regularly use the C word during a 'non swearing' conversation. It's a dialect thing........".I jest c do it".. " Why c you". etc.

Hans is right. Hen cont translates as old mate even though the word is equivalent to its English counterpart. However it is only used in certain areas of North Wales and would be considered offensive if used elsewhere.
