So Mr Branson, a known leftie, is a person who hates democracy it seems.

It also appear that Mr Branson(who lives abroad) is bankrolling the effort to oust pro BREXIT MP's so they can derail BREXIT in what what has to be the most blatant anti democratic action to date.

Seems he thinks his money should buy him what he wants and *** the peasants who voted.

Another ones products to boycott.

Suggesting that Ms Miller is subverting democracy by trying to get people to vote a certain way is as daft as Dawn Butler's claim that the prime minister was rigging democracy by calling an election
they count mikey just not as much as the 17+ m that did not agree.
TTT....but according to you, all those millions of people who voted to REMAIN no longer have any say in the matter....they no longer count at all.
not sure I'm getting you, after the result is known the majority will prevails. We accept that there are opposing views but that the direction set by the majority is what is implemented. It's what, on this planet, we call democracy. What are you suggesting that 100% must agree before anything changes? or that those that did not vote for it are in someway given a different path. Sorry mikey I'm, struggling to understand what you think should happen.
'Businessman funds campaign that best suits him'! Wow that must be a scoop for the Mail.
The assumption is with many that leaving the EU is like pulling a plug from a socket despite the reality that it may actually fuse most of the lights unless it's done properly

Dont worry we are wire to 17th Edition standards so that wont happen.

Still got fuses eh, talk about living in the past :-)
Could I point out that the number of anti-EU votes in the 1st round of the French elections very, very narrowly fell short of a majority. So, if Macron wins, should he moderate his EU-or-nothing stance considerably? Following the reasoning advanced so far he should say that France should have some say in its border control at least.

Fairly sure that Geert Wilders was defeated by 4% and it was hailed as a 'convincing majority'. Quizzically raised eyebrow (don't know an emoticon for that).
“ymb....what about Champagne Tories "”

Tories are entitled to drink Champagne, Mikey. They don’t portray having a few bob as a mortal sin which can only be assuaged by making the rich poorer. By contrast Socialists believe that having enough money to buy a bottle of Champers is second only to drowning a sackful of kittens in the canal (whilst many of them buy more of the stuff than the “rich” whom they despise).

The notion that the referendum result might be overturned by a fresh bunch of MPs is an affront to democracy. The question was devolved to the people. They answered “Leave” (and please, no “four-fifths of five-eights of f-all”). Ms Miller ensured that MPs passed the necessary legislation to start the process.

“TTT....but according to you, all those millions of people who voted to REMAIN no longer have any say in the matter....they no longer count at all.”

They do no longer count, Mikey. The decision has been taken. The legislation was enacted. Those wishing to remain had their chance to vote. Not enough of them cast their votes to win the day. It’s like losing the Cup Final 5-4. The four goals, wonderful as they may have been, no longer count. The team who scored them do not get one hand on the cup. Unlike the European Union itself, we do not operate a “best of three” when it comes to matters like this. Nothing has changed since last July. There is no justification for MPs to revisit the question on behalf of the electorate. All that MPs need to do now is to hold the government to account by ensuring that the UK properly leaves the EU (for that was the question, “Leave” or “Remain”).

When Ms Miller launched her legal challenge last year she insisted her aim was not to derail Brexit. I suggested then that her assurance was a load of male cattle excrement. Now she is trying another tack in an attempt to see the result of the referendum reversed. I said previously that Ms Miller is unused to being denied what she wants. This time I fear she (and her friends) may have to become accustomed to it. And I stand by what I said about her.
