Mrs May Refused To Rule Out Any Future Tax Changes

She has now refused many times to rule out any future tax hikes, and she still refuses to come clean about the triple lock on Pension ( which her Party brought in ! )
So....all of you Tory supporters here in AB....what now ? Are you prepared to vote for a Party that probably not protect pensions and will probably raise taxes ?

The Tories told us in 2015, that they were not going to increase VAT, income tax, or NICs....but in the Budget a few weeks ago, Hammond did just that....increase NICs, although he was forced to back down after a few days.
It was a cornerstone of his Budget and he still hasn't told us how he is going to fill the huge gap left by abandoning the increase.

I think I mentioned a week or so ago when a similar question was posed that the country is living beyond its means. One of two things must happen: either public expenditure must go down or income must go up.
Since nobody (except me seems) to want to see the former that just leaves increases in taxes. Personally I trust the Tory party to manage those increases in a more just manner. That’s purely selfish because, having lived under a number of Labour governments and been declared “filthy rich” by all of them (because I managed to pay my own way with no recourse to benefits) I can only see the same thing happening again.
Interestingly Mrs May has said that she has no proposals to increase the total tax take (as a proportion of GDP). That being the case she’d be better off making no changes at all. Since the government would still be spending too much of other people’s money it would save the administrative costs of doing so and reduce the political waffle and drivel which will be trotted out in the run up to the election.

Yes. They have a better plan. A much more realistic and doable plan. They have a much stronger leader.
Taxes go up and down. That one is a simple fact of life. Or didn't you realise that Mikey? Brexit or no Brexit taxes change. And anyone who thinks Corbyns spendspendspend approach would have had no effect on taxes is a bit, well naive to the least, possibley deluded but in fact much worse.
Policies change because the world changes. If you can't adapt then you sink. What would be more honest (for ALL parties) would be that if a significant policy is to be changed we get to hear why? That way people would be more understanding of the changes. Might not like them but understand them more.
Mikey we seem to be at polar ends. You simply cannot see that socialism doesn't work that well. Go and live in Venezuela if you want a socialist society. When you are starving send us a postcard on how wonderful it is.
I want to live in a society that looks after the frail and infirm and those that fall on difficult time with compassion. But I don't want frail and infirm Used as an excuse. I don't want those that fall on hard times to become dependent on the state.
Over zealous socialism creates dependancy where none should be.
