remember the english summer lasts all of about 2 weeks...the rest of the time we stay in doors...nice having a garden for the few days of the year we are able to use it but apart from that mayb the 2nd bedroom might be more useful and resale would be better too.
Its a tricky question as i love having my own private little garden...but on these nice dry long evenings it is so easy to forget that the evenings will draw in and few months time we will be turning clocks back and be raining all the time :o( so mayb the space inside the home be more useful??

Well if you got a garden there is always scope to build an extension second bedroom but it gets messy if you try filling the second befroom with soil and turf. I wouldn't be without my garden at any time of year its just as lovely to have a bot of outdoors in winter as it is in summer. But its personal choice - i would prefer to keep any potential kids in the garden shed than in my house too!!
Difficult question Cheekystar, but if you were bought up on a farm you will probably feel very restrained stuck indoors all the time. It's lovely to see things grow, be able to sit outdoors and dry your washing outside when the weather's fine. However, would a one bedroom home be too cramped for you? I think I'd probably settle for the garden but it would be a hard choice.
