Redundancy Laws/guidelines.
The company i work for are currently in the process of making 900 people redundant, My question is that after the notice of redundancy has been issued is there a time limit before they can change the redundancy policy (ie - reduce it to statutory)?

I think a company would be unwise to try to change terms after issuing redundancy notice- it would make more sense to announce the change to terms first.
In your case, as there are so many people involved the employer must issue a consultation document about the redundancies. ACAS say that as part of this the employer must disclose details of how redundancy payments wlll be calculated. I can't see how they can then change that
