Wall to wall Luvvies, not for me, thank you.
Question Author
even more lovies than normal, Alan Carr the epitome of them, perhaps....

It's getting to switch off time, desperate that it is.
It seems just the usual awards show to me, on in the background.
Why do Thespians feel the need to give each other prizes for doing their (usually well paid) jobs? It's a mystery.
Lots of trades and professions do it too - salesmen/women,plumbers,hairstylists - the list goes on.

Sue has at least got Twitter tweeting, they do love a good tweet.
Plumbers? What, best combi boiler installation of 2016? Best plumbers mate in the kharzi installation section?

I know individual trades shell out "salesman of the week" etc. But they don't bore everyone to tears by putting their awards ceremony on the telly on Sunday night do they? "And this year's award for selling the most ice to eskimos goes to....."
No they have 'do' - in a club or hall, they can't do it number 36 Henderson Terrace where they did the central heating.

Not enough room and there's no bar.
Off to pour a glass of Merlot for Grandmother of the year - cheers.

Keep cheerful.x
Perhaps they give themselves Self, Me,Us, Gratification (S.M.U.G) awards because nobody will?
They must be new to the property Tony ;-)
Sorry I missed out on this.......

//Foot in Mouth Award

This wonderfully named award is presented each year to a person who makes the most bewildering comment. The awards first began in 1993 and Ted Dexter, the then chairman of selectors of the England Cricket team, claimed the first trophy. Other winners include the actress Alicia Silverstone, politician Gordon Brown and Italian media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi. Former American President George W Bush was presented a lifetime achievement award in 2008 for his continuous baffling remarks over the years.//
You have great taste Mamya. I like a glass of merlot myself.
My thoughts? All these showbiz award ceremonies are twaddle. That's why I don't watch them.
Enjoy GM.x

The Twaddle Awards would be fun, so many possible nominees.

I wish they would screen the Ig Nobel Prize ceremony, sounds good.
