Recyclable Plastic Bags
34 Answers
We have been instructed by our bin men that we have to separate our food waste and put in with the garden waste.
Also anybody know where I can buy the recyclable bags to put the food waste in. Thanks again for any help.

I do think it is all a farce this recycling as it weren't too long ago that myself and a few neighbours witnessed a bin man mixing up various wastes and throwing it in the black bin carrier.

Maybe addressing your food waste might be an idea JJ?
To throw two loaves away is a bit bonkers when you could have turned them into breadcrumbs and frozen them for further use.
If you find the bags so small I think you would do well to think about your shopping list and your menu for the week . If you are throwing so much out then it would seem you are buying too much.

We have a black plastic food waste bin outside and in my kitchen I personally bought a small ceramic one in the shape of a big red strawberry lol with the stalk as the lid. It's not even as tall as my kettle and I put the biodegradeable bags in it then when full take outside to put in the plastic one. We don't throw much away at all and as Eccles says throwing two whole loaves away seems mad. If I ever have leftover bread I whizz into breadcrumbs and freeze.
