Connect your Sky box to your dvd recorder.
Set the channel on the dvd recorder to the relevant input eg. if you've connected the box into AV1 then choose AV1
If you are watching your program as it is broadcast, then just start recording on the dvd recorder.
If you are watching a recording on the Sky box - start it playing and then start the recorder recording.
Don't change the channel whilst recording as the dvd recorder will continue reording whatever you're watching.
If you have a few things you want to put onto dvd then there is an option on the sky box.
Go to the planner and for each thing you want to record select the program, press the right arrow then you should see COPY as an option at the bottom - press the green button to mark the program for copy.
Once you've got the ones you want to copy marked, press selct, then agree to the message on screen, start the dvd recording and go and do something else for the duration of the recording.
