I Like Andy Burnham

I've met him lots of times and spoke with him here in Manchester. I voted for him t'other week in the Mayoral election, but he was talking through his arm pit tonight on BBC News. He said this was an extremist attack not linked to any religion. Talk about the Emperors New Clothes! Come on Mr. Burnham. Say what you see. Say what the rest of us know. This was an attack on innocent people by a Muslim extremist whose family were given asylum by the govt of the people he attacked. You know it. We know it. They know it. Everyone knows it. Stop apologizing for Muslim extremism and tell what YOU would do to eradicate it.

None of the main party leaders or BBC or Sky news etc, have mentioned the word Islam in connection with this attack, are they too afraid of rocking the boat, or upsetting our Muslim chums! Its time to wake and smell the coffee, get real, this is the first of many such attacks, all because for many years people in power have been too afraid of being classed as racist and normal working class people have been too scared to say it as they see it for fear of the same!

I missed who he actually was but he was one of the 'big wigs' of Manchester and he was being interviewed on the TV news last night, He was spouting on about how the people of Manchester were a close knit society and it was times like this when they came together no matter what race or religion etc etc, he even managed to get transgenders mentioned.
Forget all the organised vigils etc, when are they going admit we have a very big problem and bring out certain positive measures to combat this terrorism?

Piers Morgan had plenty to say about it this morning and didn't mince his words. He was particularly critical of the Imam at the mosque attended by Abedi who had seen hatred in his eyes when he, the Imam, had attacked ISIS. Abedi never went back to that mosque again. Piers, quite rightly, is angry that the Imam didn't do anything about it like telling the police.
