Would turning off the water at the mains, stop the water pressure running through the heating system. Therefore allowing me to take the radiator off the wall without water coming through the exposed pipe?
i know tony, and this is only £1 a month. They must hate me as this will be the fourth time i've had them out in less than a year lol
You're right hopkirk, the guy from screwfix was telling me about them, but at £20 a pop i gave it a miss
It amazes me that people are always taking a 'pop' at insurance companies when they raise premiums or query claims, but you never see headlines when a policyholder makes 4 claims in a year for which the total premium was £12.
He he! I know tony
@twix that's such a stupid thing to say. It's not as if i am going around causing deliberate damage to my plumbing is it? Two of the problems that i had were caused by incompetent plumbers not knowing what they were doing, and i don't think anyone wouldn't make a claim on their insurance, regardless of the price paid. Although i've never had an accident my car insurance policies keep going up due to idiots on the road that put people at risk with their dangerous driving. If you want to have a pop at someone because you're having a bad day or life, then do it to them.
khaleesi, I'm not having a go at you, but others that always seem to have a gripe with insurers without pointing out what good value they can be whenever things go wrong, especially in the case of non-compulsory insurance.
ow, i'm so sorry twix, I thought you were saying that i'm pushing everyone else's premiums up. You do make a very valid point though, this insurance has been a godsend to me, i'm defo going to keep it once the premiums go up to full price.
