I almost think it's 'Rain cats and dogs' but it just doesn't fit, and makes no sense of the clue.

Ps general crossword question.
How do I refresh page and see that someone has answered. I have been 'selecting' another topic, e.g. Body&soul, and then going back to Crosswords, but surely this is not the normal way??

Yes FF has it - just press 'Refresh' - top right of Latest Posts

I find if I press Refresh it updates but if I press it again shortly after it reverts back to the out of date screen.
I wish it would update automatically more often, especially on Crosswords

If you look at the top of the page where you type in searches you will see a circular arrow. If you tap it the whole page will refresh. Or you can tap the refresh button above latest posts on the right.
