How Do I Become An Animal Welfare Officer/inspector?

how do I become an animal welfare officer/inspector? I have looked everywhere at animal organisations and Am very passionate about working in the animal rescue field, I see people with this job but wonder, how do they get into it? I'm willing to do anything. someone please help!

I would write to the RSPCA, Dog's Trust and other such welfare organisations expressing an interest but if you are inexperienced in animal welfare then I would suggest that your best starting point would be to volunteer to work in one...no pay I know but gives you several advantages over others that might apply later on...a reference and experience....maybe a good thing to start there. I believe you can volunteer in a vets surgery if you can't get to a rescue centre.
