Mikey, you listen to Test Match Special on Radio5 Live Sports Extra on DAB.
I'm seriously miffed in that I've just changed cars; old car had LW so Radio4 for the cricket; new car is not DAB and doesn't have LW - what will I do?

thanks all - haven't read all your replies but I do want to tell you that believe it or not have 2 DAB radios - have had them for quite a long while.

but they show up as radio ulster, downtown (words) - I am looking for figures etc - not too sure but I was looking for 89.7 FM - now that may not be correct - it was only that it if it is the right station - it plays 70s and 80s all day - I am probably not setting the DAB up correctly.

I don't hear radio very well as you would know.

G'afternoon jennyjoan......I wish I could offer some advice about where to possibly buy an 'old fashioned radio', it's something I have been seeking for a few years. I really do dislike the modern contraptions with small buttons.

However, I think I can appreciate your wish to avoid buying another DAB (Dull and Boring ) radio because Ireland is well over 10years behind the rest of the UK when it comes to Digital Radio. Furthermore, DAB is a bit like Mobile Phones which require being relatively near to a good Transmitter to get good reception.

thanks all for your help. Think I will have to stick with what I have - I think subconsciously I was hoping the old radio would have helped me hear better but I will always be corned-beef. deef.
