Turns out it WAS my next door neighbour. His wife told me today that he had died as a result of complications. I feel a bit crap now for sending a get well soon card. A simple motor accident (involving no one else) and hes gone. The best neighbour ive ever had and a good friend to me over the years. I was gutted when I heard.
Blimey, you just never know whats around the corner.

Not a problem Tills, I just really don't know how much to say at the mo. Basically he trapped his legs between his car door and a wall. What was reported (on the link I gave in my OP) and what actually happened are 2 different things.

Just carry on being a good neighbour and friend to his wife. It's all you can do. Perhaps a bunch of flowers and a 'Condolences' card?

She'll understand. Don't feel too bad. Yes, life is uncertain. 'Live every
day as if it your last ' is good advice -I keep trying to do it.
