.....on a camp site. My daughter and granddaughter are swimming in Lake Windermere this weekend for charity. Daughter is doing 1K on Saturday in a full wet suit, but as they are only camping, she won't have much chance of drying it out before swimming with my granddaughter in the 500m on Sunday. Anyone got any suggestions as to how she can dry it overnight? Thanks.

Have you tried sponging it down?

Take a really big towel (e.g. a bath sheet or beach towel) and try the 'speed approach' here:

I believe the event is being held near:- Low Wood Bay Resort Hotel & Marina.

I would very surprised if there is not some sort of drying facility!

The entire point of a 'wet suit' is that it is 'wet'. It works by having a thin layer of water between the wearers skin and the suit

You do not need to dry the inside that would be pointless ! You do not need to dry the outside either as long as the water you were using it in was clean, just put it back on!
A 'Dry suit' is different that does have to be dry to work. Dry suits are much more expensive and mainly for professional divers working at deep level where the water is very cold.
If you put the suit on a hanger the water will migrate to the cuffs and ankles...wring these areas out every few hours and it will soon dry.

Could you pop into a local inn and maybe dry it under one of those hand dryers in the toilets
Divebuddy the reason water does not freeze from the bottom up is that Ice is less dense than liquid water. Which is why ice cubes float on top of a drink rather than sinking !

I accept your point divebuddy, but ice is less dense than water .

Any pub or Hotel, which cater for walkers or climbers, must surely have a drying facility. I'm sure if they were asked nicely they would allow your daughter to dry her wet suit along with the other wet stuff.
