The General Election - It's The Song, Not The Singer That Counts.
38 Answers
Lots of people in this election campaign have ridiculed Jeremy Corbyn for a number of reasons. However, the intelligent voters in this country are aware that it's not the singer that matters, it's the song, and people have noticed the difference between the Tories (remember them, Naomi?) and Labour. Theresa May wanted this to be about Brexit, but I don't think the majority of people did. For someone like me, it had nothing to do with Brexit. It was about the NHS, education, employment, housing. Like him or loathe him, Jeremy Corbyn came across to voters as a more caring and concerned person than Theresa May. Also, as I said last week, I thought the UKIP vote would collapse this time, which it has. It would appear they have gone back to Labour. Another factor in the disappointing result for the Tories. Right folks, no more posts this weekend from me. I'm off to Plymouth, where, I notice, Labour have just gained Plymouth Sutton from the Tories! Woo! Hoo! If you live in Plymouth, I'll see you in the Barbican tonight! Tara all.

If that were to happen that leader would face the same criticism she herself faced after taking over from Cameron.
A more persuasive argument might be that she is not the person to lead the Tories into another "snap election", fearing that Labour might make another push and end up in power. So if the folk upstairs in the Tory party panic and think that there is going to be another election soon, then she may be forced out for that reason.
