Great to be back on AB. Just spent the last couple of months on the campaign trail with Jeremy, it was hard work trying to save the country, but worth it, a few more votes and a Labour victory would have been ours. The strategy is now in place for another snap election, this time we'll win it and won't be relying on religious nutcases to prop us up.

I expect Jeremy to have an audience with the Queen next week. The country is now behind him after May's treachery.
Hiya Jude, nice to see you back. I've missed the Sunday funnies.
I do wish we could change our voting system from this First Past the Post rubbish so that we could all be represented more in the polls.
And here's me thinking you were Lord Buckethead! ;-)

Welcome back!
JJ which address were u at...Pentonville or somewhere nicer? Rofl
>and won't be relying on religious nutcases to prop us up.

That reminds me- about a week before the election I was walking past my local mosque just as all the men/boys poured out all carrying Labour leaflets, presumably after some sort of political education session.
I am not sure why the left is so accommodating of those whose whose views regarding homosexuality ( a recent survey showed most Muslims wanted it to be made illegal) and women's rights (heard a Muslim lady on LBC defending the Koran reference to a man should be able to beat his wife). Whilst I am not inviting anti or pro Islam comments on here I just think it seems ironic that the Left are expressing concern now about the DUP when they rely so much on Muslim votes
We wouldn't be better represented by any other system from the one we have. And FPTP limits the role of parties, which itself is something a true democracy can't have. MPs should represent the views of their constituents, not some political group that favours them.
if you promise absolutely promise not to form any kind of alliance with Nicola then you will get much more support from Scotland..EXACTLY why votes went to Tories and not labour ..there exists a perceived alliance of sorts with SNP....had JC emphatically denied her any support the vote may well have gone your way..lesson learned ?
I think you're right, og. That would make more sense and more worthwhile voting- if there was anyone worth voting for, anyway.
I meant I agree with wr... :-)
Yes, great isn't it, bloke who relies on I-Pad to answer questions about his own party's manifesto promises fails to gain enough seats to beat woman too arrogant to campaign properly and go on T.V. debates. Shows much for the credibility of both parties.
...and now this is such an exciting time in politics - isn't it? ;-)
