Please help - A Vote!

Hi,

Some of you might already know that I've decided to get another tattoo..........but I need some help deciding on the design. The tattoo will probably got on my right hip bone(?) and would be about half the size of the one in the picture!

I think I've found the one I like - but need some extra opinions!

Have a look and tell me what you think!! Yay or Nay?

Well, it LOOKS nice - but think long term. You'll have this for life, and what seems fun now might get old and tacky looking in a few year's time. I have a chinese symbol which were oh-so-cool 6 or 7 years ago, but I regret not having something more elegant/discreet now.
The 5 point star is very 'now', but why not shop around some more or even design your own - it'll be unique to you.

Thanks - I've already got a tribal sun on my lower back that I've had for about 5yrs and I still love it, also I've thought really hard about this - I've wanted to get some sort of star design for a while now.!

BOO - I'm not pregnant at the mo, but I've got a 3 yr old and hope to have another baby next year!

a few too many stars for my taste... but what do you care about my taste? Honestly, you're on your own on this one - you have to get something you like, not something anyone else votes for! Tattooing isn't democracy...

Could you not have a word with your tattooist and see what he/she comes up with? If they are a good one they should be able to design one for you without using a flash ,or at least alter one so you have a unique one :o)

Think long term. At the moment it looks like a Jamboree bag, when you are older it'll look like someone has flicked ink at you with a tooth brush. I really can' see why anyone wants to mark their body permanently this way.

What is your hurry? I think you should wait till you see something and think 'I DEFINITELY want that' not "I THINK I've found the one" You really should be absolutely sure of what you want when it comes to something like this.

It is sods law that you would get something done and then see something afterwards that you think is perfect and wish you had waited and gone for that.

Take it from a man who has mucho body art that a design like that will look a blurred horrid mess within 10 yrs!

I think it's quite tacky too. Maybe if it was all in one colour or at the most 2 it would look better.
