I've bought the DVD for the Driving Test Theory for my son; but when I put it in the cd drive on 2 different laptops (which are a bit old) the dvd doesn't play. It recognises that the cd is in but it just shows a load of files. It there a programme that is missing from the laptops that I need to download first? Thanks very much.
There's no such OS as Windows 2007. Most versions of Windows do not include any DVD player software. Try installing VLC player. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
Those are transport stream files. Is it a commercial DVD or one someone's made for you ? I'm wondering if the DVD needed "finishing" or something. Try downloading VLC and see if it'll play the .ts files.
I've just bought it from Argos. It does say it's a DVD; and plays on any DVD compatible devices, including DVD player, xbox360, xboxone, ps3/ps3 and pc/mac.
Ah, then the laptop must have a DVD drive. Ok, must be the laptop I guess. I'd still try it on a PC; and try VLC to see if that'd work, but it'd need to be told which .ts file to play.
